This project consisted of the installation of 4 new lift stations within the park during heavy park visitation. Two main lift stations - 6' dia. x 12' deep precast concrete and 2 smaller fiberglass prefab stations. ~ 2500LF of 4" PVC force main along Wekiva Springs Road to an existing sanitary manhole, several thousand feet of 2" & 3" SCH80 PVC force main inside the park connecting to the 4" FM in the ROW, three directional drills under the active parking lot and park entrance. Demolition of the parks existing eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant located in an environmentally sensitive area near the spring.
Project was bid at $566K with an 8% p&o margin, we were the low bidder by $12k. During construction we had a $11K change order for additional work requested by the owner.
Final total construction cost $345,500 / Contribution to Overhead $231,410
This was an excellent project, I made some great buy-outs and I reduced our labor & equipment budget by 50% through effective project management and scheduling.
